GAZA/RAMALLAH -- Palestinians held protests on Friday in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, over U.S. recent recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

GAZA -- Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Gaza Health Ministry, told reporters Friday that one Palestinian man was killed and over 250 injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers.

ANKARA -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Ankara on Dec. 11 on the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish presidential spokesman said in a statement.

GAZA -- Israeli war jets began to strike the Gaza Strip Friday night in response to earlier rockets attacks from Gaza into Israel, security sources in Gaza said.
