GAZA, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the Gaza health ministry told reporters Friday that two Palestinian men were killed and over 270 injured in clashes with Israeli soldiers.

Al-Qedra said all had been shot with live ammunition, and most of them were shot in the lower parts of their bodies.

He said all of them were evacuated to the hospitals all over the Gaza Strip, adding that dozens suffocated after inhaling tear gas fired by the soldiers on the borders between Gaza Strip and Israel.

In Gaza city, the streets are scattered with the flags of Israel and the U.S. in rejection to the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to consider Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The public walked on the flags in protest to Trump's declaration.

Palestinians protested throughout Palestinian territories in response to calls made by various Palestinian factions and political powers, including Hamas movement and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Fatah Party. Enditem
