CBA Roundup: Liaoning snaps seven-game winning streak

BEIJING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- Brandon Bass scored game-high 35 points and 10 rebounds, Lester Hudson had 27 points and 11 rebounds and Guo Ailun added 20 points to lead Liaoning to an away victory over Fujian in the 13th round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday night.

The CBA league leader Liaoning lagged behind the host at first, but managed to take a double-digit lead after first quarter. Fujian had an amazing second quarter with 36 points and led 57-53 before the second half.

The visiting side aimed to secure the seven-game winning streak quickly as the second half started, and they led till the end. Liaoning took its largest lead 123-102 in final minute. Wang Zhelin of Fujian scored 20 points but only 4 rebounds. Russ Smith and Mike Harris each posted 25 points.

Jimmer Fredette had game-high 38 points, and Nick Minnerath sored 32 points, but the rest eight players only got 26 points, so Jiangsu dealt the Shanghai side their fourth straight loss with 101-96.

In other games tonight, Beijing beat Shenzhen 92-89. Zhejiang smashed Jilin 120-100. Guangsha won over Tongxi 146-106. Enditem
