Urgent: EU's Juncker says Brexit talks ready for the next stage

BRUSSELS, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- The European Commission has made sufficient progress in the first phase of the Brexit talks and will recommend to the European Council to open the second-phase talks, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said Friday.

He made the remarks during a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Theresa May who arrived in Brussels before dawn for her second meeting in a week with Juncker to secure a deal on Britain's withdrawal from the bloc. Enditem
