Spanish shares rise 0.48 pct Thursday

MADRID, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares rose on Thursday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 0.48 percent or 49.1 points, to close at 10,233.10 points.

A total of 29 of the selected 35 large companies went up in the day.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa rose 6.98 percent, being the top gainer in the day, which is followed by two Spanish banks, Bankia and BANCO DE SABADELL rose by 2.38 and 2.16 percent respectively.

The car insurance company, MAPFRE, S.A. dropped 0.98 percent, the biggest loser, while high-tech enterprise AMADEUS IT GROUP, who dropped 0.56 percent, was the second loser. Enditem
