Israeli army fires at Hamas post in Gaza, no injuries

Xinhua,December 08, 2017 Adjust font size:

GAZA, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- An Israeli army tank fired two shells on a military post in Gaza Strip with no injuries reported, Israeli and Palestinian sources reported Thursday.

Israeli media reported that the Israeli army fired the shells on an Islamic Hamas movement military post east of al-Mughazi Refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, in response to earlier rockets firing from Gaza into southern Israel.

Palestinian security sources said that two Israeli tank shells targeted a military post in central Gaza Strip, adding that no injuries were reported, but severe damage was caused to the military post that is close to the borders with Israel.

Militants fired on Thursday makeshift rockets from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel in response to U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, eyewitnesses said.

The Israeli media reported that at least two rockets landed at empty zones in two towns in southern Israel, causing no damages or injuries. No one claimed responsibility for firing the rockets. Enditem
