Spanish shares drop 0.27 pct Wednesday

MADRID, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares dropped on Wednesday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 down 0.27 percent or 27.3 points, to close at 10,184.00 points.

A total of 19 of the selected 35 large companies dropped in the day.

Sabadell Bank went down 1.58 percent, which led the ranking of share prices loss. Other banks also encountered strikes, BBVA and Bankia dropped by 1.48 and 1.47 percent respectively, followed by Bankinter, who dropped 1.21 percent, and Caixabank of a 1.18 percent loss, making banking industry the top loser of the day.

Red Electrica Corporacion advanced 1.84 percent, the biggest winner of the day, while IBERDROLA, rose by 1.12 percent, taking the second place. Enditem
