French shares lose 0.02 pct Wednesday

PARIS, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged down on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down by 0.02 percent, or 1.18 points, to close at 5,374.35 points.

A total of 20 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

French international retailer Carrefour advanced by 1.48 percent, while the international telecommunication company Bouygues rose by 1.17 percent. Global luxury product group LVMH gained 1.14 percent.

The global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services Technipfmc went down by 3.66 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Global semiconductor company Stmicroelectr edged down by 3.65 percent. Another French bank group Credit Agricole lost 1.53 percent. Enditem
