HONG KONG, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed down 618.00 points, or 2.14 percent, to 28,224.8 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,204.53 and 28,929.21. Turnover totaled 162.70 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 20.82 billion U.S. dollars). Enditem
