Man with criminal background shot dead at airport car park in France's Corsica

PARIS, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- A man with criminal background was shot dead at the car park of the Bastia airport on the French island of Corsica Tuesday morning in an apparent settling of scores, the French television channel BFMTV reported.

Antoine Quilichini, also called as "Tony the butcher", one of the main figures of organized crimes in Corsica was shot dead in his head at around 11:30 local time (1030 GMT), according to the report.

A 40-year-old man was wounded by several gunshots and was in serious situation while another, 35 , suffered minor injuries, it added.

The shooting motive remains unknown while police operation is underway to hunt the perpetrators. Enditem
