RIYADH, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Saudi General Attorney announced on Tuesday that 159 individuals were arrested in corruption-related cases and most of them accepted the settlements, Saudi Press Agency reported.

General Attorney Sheikh Saud Al Mojeb said that the panel summoned 320 individuals to provide more information, asserting that 376 bank accounts of the detainees or related persons were frozen.

Last month, the local news confirmed the arrest of 11 princes and 38 sitting and former ministers and deputy ministers over corruption charges. The arrest orders were made by a panel formed in the previous day of the arrest by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and it is headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The panel also announced that it is reopening the file of the 2009 Jeddah deadly floods and investigating the Corona virus issue, which is also known as the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus. Enditem
