French shares drop 0.26 pct on Thursday

PARIS, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.26 percent, or 13.76 points, to close at 5,375.53 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 21 lost in the day.

TechnipFMC, a UK-based company that provides complete project life cycle services,was down 2.40 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Luxembourg-based multinational steel manufacturing corporation ARCELORMITTAL lost 1.83 percent. French multinational pharmaceutical company SANOFI lost 1.50 percent.

French multinational industrial group BOUYGUES rose 1.38 percent. French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMICROELECTRONICS gained 1.38 percent. French multinational luxury company KERING up 1.28 percent. Enditem
