BEIJING, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Wan Gang was re-elected chairman of the Central Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party Tuesday.

The decision was announced in a statement after the China Zhi Gong Party, one of the eight non-Communist political parties on the Chinese mainland, concluded its four-day 15th National Congress.

Wan said that all delegates had learned the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

"The congress strengthened the China Zhi Gong Party's determination to adhere to the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and inspired confidence in securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and achieving the great success of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era," Wan said.

During the congress, delegates heard and deliberated the report of the the China Zhi Gong Party's 14th Central Committee and reviewed and approved an amendment to its constitution, according to the statement.

The statement said that all China Zhi Gong Party members and organizations should implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and safeguard the core status of General Secretary Xi Jinping.

A new Standing Committee of 33 members and a new Central Committee of 116 members were also elected during the congress.
