France's Carrefour, Fnac-Darty announce tie-up on purchasing partnership

Xinhua,December 05, 2017 Adjust font size:

PARIS, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Europe's main retailer Carrefour and Fnac-Darty, France's largest electronics retailer, unveiled a new partnership on Tuesday on purchasing for domestic appliances and consumer electronics in France.

The two partners would maintain independent commercial policies under the tie-up, which would become effective for the 2018 supplier negotiations, Carrefour said in statement.

The partnership accord would be subject to prior information of the French Competition Authority and presented to employee representatives of each respective entity, it added.

Presenting its strategic plan on Tuesday, Fnac-Darty said it is working "to create Europe's benchmark omnichannel services platform in Europe" to double its operating margin. Enditem
