CAIRO, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Egypt police arrested on Tuesday the fugitive former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly, who was the most prominent official serving under the ousted president Hosni Mubarak, official news agency MENA reported.

Al-Adly, who has been sentenced to seven years in prison on corruption charges, hadn't handed himself to the authorities, MENA added.

Al-Adly was due to hand himself after the case in April but he had disappeared, it added. Enditem
