Dollar hovers in mid-112 yen zone on U.S. tax reform, political uncertainty

TOKYO, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar hovered in the mid-112 yen zone Tuesday in Tokyo on expectations for the U.S. tax reform as well as concerns over the political uncertainties caused by the investigations on Russia's alleged involvement in the U.S. presidential election.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 112.62-64 yen compared with 112.37-47 yen in New York and 112.99-113.00 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday. It moved between 112.38 yen and 112.69 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1857-1859 dollars and 133.54-58 yen against 1.1861-1871 dollars and 133.32-42 yen in New York and 1.1849-1850 dollars and 133.89-93 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon. Enditem
