German shares gain 1.53 pct Monday

FRANKFURT, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 197.06 points, or 1.53 percent, to close at 13,058.55 points.

Renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.36 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and Deutsche Post rose by 3.05 percent and 2.35 percent respectively.

Energy group RWE lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.55 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies down by 0.42 percent and 0.32 percent respectively.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 236.30 million euros (280.36 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
