2 killed as pickup crashes into motorbikes in E. Thailand

BANGKOK, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and 15 injured after a pickup truck collided with a dozen motorbikes in eastern Thailand's famous tourist destination Pattaya on Monday.

The accident happened on Monday morning when the 44-year-old pickup truck driver suddenly fell unconscious. The truck plowed through more than 10 motorcycles taking students to school, resulting in two deaths, according to local media.

The injured had been rushed to hospital.

The truck driver has been attacked by an angry crowd, said police.

Police also said the driver admitted he has been treated for epilepsy. Result of the driver's alcohol test appeared negative.

Police has not charged him yet as the case is under investigation. Enditem
