BELGRADE, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Serbian police have uncovered seven drug labs, seizing 128.5 kg narcotics together with weapons and explosives, and detaining 139 suspects during the past week, the country's interior ministry said in a press release on Sunday.

The drug labs were in three different cities -- the capital Belgrade, Sabac in the west and Subotica in the north -- and some of them were designed to grow "especially rare hallucinogenic mushrooms," according to the release.

Among those detained, 96 were for possession of drugs while 43 for illegal possession of weapons.

Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovi commended all police officers who have participated in the week-long operation and highlighted the fact that "14.5 kg of explosives were seized, of which 11 kg were seized...in the Krusik Arms factory." Enditem
