National Parachuting Championships kick off in central China

WUHAN, China, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- 2017 National Parachuting Championships, which kicked off on Saturday in Jingmen, central China's Hubei Province, and last until Dec. 9, has attracted 130 parachutists of 10 teams from across China.

The championships are held in Jingmen's AVIC Town, a town featuring aviation training, exhibition and flight simulation infrastructure.

According to the organizers, parachutists will compete against each other in 11 events, including accuracy landing, sky diving and paragliding.

During the championships, audience members can also enjoy other activities such a wind tunnel, airplane exhibition and scientific education on the topic of aviation.

The championships are hosted every year by the Aero Sports Federation of China and a branch of General Administration of Sports of China. Enditem
