Airstrikes kill 3 Taliban commanders in E. Afghanistan

GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- At least three Taliban local commanders were killed and six others injured after Afghan air force conducted airstrikes on militants' vehicles convoy in Ghzni province on Sunday, a local official said Monday.

"Afghan air forces targeted the vehicles, carrying the Taliban militants, as a result their three local commanders were killed and six more insurgents injured," Ghzni police chief Mohammad Zaman told Xinhua.

The militants vehicles were completely destroyed during the strikes, the official added.

Taliban militants have yet to make comment. Enditem
