52 holidaymakers injured in Tunisia's bus accident

TUNIS, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- A bus carrying young holidaymakers overturned in Tunisia, causing 52 injured, including 10 in critical condition, the private-owned Nessma TV reported Sunday.

Local sources told Xinhua that the bus skidded off the road in the governorate of Beja in northwest of the country before plunging into a river in the area.

The identities of the injured remained unknown.

The bus was headed to the town of Ain Draham in the governorate of Jendouba, which is known to be one of the best tourist destinations in Tunisia for snow sightseeing and sports.

The National Institute of Meteorology of Tunisia has forecast the arrival of a strong cold front that could persist until half of next week with rains and snowfalls in the northern and northeastern governorates of the country. Enditem
