Lithuanian capital stages dancesport competition

VILNIUS, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- The two-day international dancesport competition "Lithuanian Open 2017" started on Saturday in Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania, attracting about 600 couples of dancers from 14 countries and regions.

Organized by The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), The Lithuanian Dancesport Federation and two local dancesport clubs, the competition features WDSF World Open Latin and WDSF International Open Standard with age groups.

According to the organizers, the prize for the champion of WDSF World Open Latin is 800 euros with the second and the third positions awarded 700 euros and 600 euros respectively.

The prizes for WDSF International Open Standard are 400 euros, 300 euros and 200 euros respectively.

According to the organizers, it is the 17th time that Lithuania has held this international dancesport festival. Enditem
