Haikou International Kiteboarding Open kicks off

HAIKOU, China, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Haikou International Kiteboarding Open 2017 kicked off on Saturday in Haikou, capital of south China's Hainan province.

The two-day tournament has attracted 70 contestants, 58 male and 12 female, from countries including Russia, Italy, the United States, Ukraine and China. They will compete for a total prize of 50,000 yuan (some 7,600 US dollars).

The tournament features five events, namely hydrofoil board of the international open group, men's and women's two-way board international open groups, as well as men's and women's two-way board Chinese elite groups. Enditem
