Taiyuan University of Technology claims China-Germany friendly event title

XI'AN, China, Dec.2 (Xinhua) -- China's university league champions Taiyuan University of Technology claimed the title of the four-team soccer friendly tournament here on Saturday.

Taiyuan University of Technology football team won all three matches in the round-robin 2017 China-Germany Student Final Four which also include a youth team from by Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, Shaanxi Normal University team and Sichuan university team .

This year's tournament was a result of the agreement between Federation of University Sports of China and Frankfurt, which is part of the sports exchange between China and Germany.

In last year's China-Germany Student Final Four Championship. Koln Sports School won the title in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province.

"I've seen every player showed his passion during the match. I think this is the cornerstone of youth football in China," said Markus Weidner, director of international relations and sports partnerships of Eintracht Frankfurt. Enditem
