French shares down 1.04 pct Friday

PARIS, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged down on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 1.04 percent, or 55.90 points, to close at 5,316.89 points.

French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer Stimicroelectr went down by 3.49 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French automobile equipment producer Valeo edged down 2.75 percent, and French automobile producer Peugeot lost 2.73 percent.

The global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services Technipfmc advanced 1.76 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French international retailer Carrefour rose 1.08 percent, and French hotel group Accor gained 0.57 percent. Enditem
