Tokyo shares flat amid concerns over U.S. tax reform outlook

TOKYO, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares were flat Friday morning amid concerns over the outlook of U.S. tax reforms following media reports that the U.S. Senate delayed voting on its tax reform plan.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 0.85 point from Thursday at 22,724.11.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange finished 2.07 points, or 0.12 percent, lower at 1,790.01.

Decliners were led by nonferrous metal and real estate issues, while gainers were led by mining and machinery issues. Enditem
