Japan's October jobless rate flat at 2.8 pct

TOKYO, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Japan's jobless rate in October remained unchanged at 2.8 percent, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said in a report on Friday.
Job availability in Japan meanwhile, improved to 1.55 from September's figure of 1.52, marking the highest level since January 1974, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said separately.
The figure translates to meaning that for every 100 jobseekers there were 155 positions available in the reporting period. Enditem
