Ukraine's exports see remarkable growth in January-September

Xinhua,December 01, 2017 Adjust font size:

KIEV, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's exports have seen an 18.5-percent growth in January-September 2017, driven by increased overseas supplies of metallurgical and agricultural products, the government said Thursday.

In the first nine months of this year, Ukraine has exported goods and services worth 39.1 billion U.S. dollars, said a statement posted on the government's website.

Over the period, exports of goods have registered a 21.1-percent increase and stood at 31.3 billion dollars, while exports of services were up 9.8 percent to 7.8 billion dollars.

Among the goods, traditional exported products, such as iron ores and concentrates, sunflower oil, and corn showed the largest increase.

The list of services exports was topped by transport services, followed by information and processing services.

During the period, the European Union remained the largest destination for Ukrainian exports, accounting for 40.2 percent of the total sales. It was followed by Russia, Turkey, India and China. Enditem
