KIEV -- At least one person was killed and 10 others wounded Thursday in a grenade blast at a court in the Dnipropetrovsk region in eastern Ukraine, the regional department of the National Police said.

The incident occurred at around 11:20 a.m. local time (GMT 0920) during a court hearing, when the father of a murder victim set off two hand grenades in the court hall, killing himself and wounding the other participants in the trial. (Ukraine-Blast-Court)

BAGHDAD -- At least 801 civilians were killed during the U.S.-led coalition operations targeted on Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq and Syria in the past three years, the coalition forces said in a monthly report on Thursday.

The Civilian Casualty Report said that all these civilians were killed "unintentionally" by Coalition strikes since the start of Operation Inherent Resolve and the coalition is still assessing another 695 reports on civilian casualties. (Iraq-Coalition-Civilian)

MOGADISHU -- About 32,000 people have been displaced by conflict and severe drought ravaging several parts of Somalia in October, the UN humanitarian agency said on Thursday.

The UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in its latest bulletin this is a slight decline in the number of newly displaced people, compared to about 49,000 people displaced in September. (Somalia-Drought)

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- Five militants were killed Thursday in two separate gunfights in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, defense officials said.
