Interview: China's principles dovetail with Azerbaijan's position: Azerbaijani politician

BAKU, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The principles outlined at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) coincide with Azerbaijan's position while the direction of the Chinese economy has a global impact, a member of Azerbaijan's parliament said.

Siyavush Novruzov, who is also deputy executive secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party, said in the past five years, China achieved great success in the fields of economy, politics and culture.

"China's domestic and foreign policies aim to provide decent living conditions for the Chinese people, as well as to build harmonious relations with the international community and to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries," he said.

The MP spoke about how China's state interests -- peaceful co-existence, global security and the well-being of all -- are related to universal welfare.

"Mutual respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, non-interference in each other's internal affairs, mutual non-aggression, mutual benefit, settlement of conflicts through dialogue, and the fight against terrorism are the priorities of China's foreign policies," Novruzov said, adding that these principles coincide with the position of Azerbaijan.

He also said that today, it is impossible to imagine a global economy without China.

"Expanding the volume of foreign trade (and) boosting trade and investment liberalization meet the interests not only of China, but also of countries cooperating with it. The development trends of China's economy have an impact worldwide," he said. Enditem
