Bangladeshi PM to visit Cambodia on ties

Xinhua,November 30, 2017 Adjust font size:

PHNOM PENH, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will lead a delegation to pay an official visit to Cambodia from Dec. 3 to 5, according to a Cambodian Foreign Ministry statement on Thursday.

It will be the second time Hasina visits Cambodia after her first official trip to the country in January 2001, the statement said.

It said her upcoming visit "reflects the strengthening of the bonds of friendship, which both countries have cherished over the years and further deepening of the existing bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Bangladesh."

Hasina will hold a bilateral meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen at the Peace Palace before the two leaders witness the signing ceremony of a number of cooperative documents, it added.

The two prime ministers will also hold a joint press announcement after their talks, the statement said. Enditem
