Singapore stocks close 0.1 pct lower

SINGAPORE, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) falling 0.1 percent or 3.36 points to close at 3438.99.

A total of 1.8 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.04 billion Singapore dollars (about 773.51 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 228 to 185.

The STI index closed up 0.17 percent or 5.99 points to close at 3442.35 on Tuesday. Enditem
