French shares gain 0.57 pct Tuesday

PARIS, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.57 percent, or 30.39 points, to close at 5,390.48 points.

35 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

French tire manufacturer Michelin advanced 3.01 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Oil and gas firm Technipfmc rose 2.94 percent. French retail giant Carrefour gained 2.29 percent.

French luxury goods holding company Kering went down by 2.34 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Building material manufacturer LafargeHolcim lost 0.87 percent. French multinational mass media conglomerate Vivendi edged down 0.67 percent. Enditem
