JAKARTA -- Transport authorities in Indonesia extended closure of the international Ngurah Rai airport on Tuesday as volcanic eruption on Bali resort island continued, officials said.
The shutdown of Ngurah Rai airport was extended to 7:00 a.m. local time (0100 GMT) Wednesday from 7:00 a.m. (0100 GMT) Tuesday, said Wisnu Darjono, director operation of airNav Indonesia, a firm carrying out navigation services. (Indonesia-Volcano-Eruption)

NEW DELHI -- At least seven people were killed and 13 others injured on Tuesday in a bus crash in western Indian state of Maharashtra, police said.
The accident took place in Kolpa area in Latur district, about 525 km east of Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra. (India-Road Accident)

KABUL -- At least 11 Afghan civilians were injured after a suicide bombing ripped through Pul-e-Alam, capital of eastern province of Logar on Tuesday, a local official said.
"The blast occurred at around 11:10 a.m. (local time) along a road in central neighborhood of the city. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals by ambulances and police vehicles," the official told Xinhua anonymously. (Afghanistan-Bomb attack) Enditem
