LUSAKA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu says democracy in Africa was evolving and that the will of the people should always be respected after elections.

Lungu, who has gone to Kenya to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Uhuru Kenyatta, said that southern African countries have continued to learn from each other on the need to promote democracy although they were still challenges. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- The Turkish government has pledged to help Zambia in building capacity in livestock development, fisheries, agriculture and climate resilience to enable the sectors emerge more robust and contribute effectively to economic development.

Charge D' Affaires at Zambia's Embassy in Turkey Bwalya Nondo said this was revealed during a meeting with officials from the Turkish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock where they also promised to provide skills in agro-processing and link the private sectors of the two countries to ensure technology transfer. -- Zambia's leading opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema says President Edgar Lungu was not willing to dialogue because he was allegedly afraid of losing power.
