Vice president stresses mass organization reform

Xinhua,September 06, 2017 Adjust font size:

Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao has stressed the need for advances in mass organization reform and contributions toward the building of a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way.

Li, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks during an inspection visit to north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from Sunday to Monday.

Li underscored firm adherence to the CPC's leadership and the right direction in the reform of mass organizations, urging officials of mass organizations to increase the frequency of their contact with the people and provide better services.

Efforts should also be made to showcase the activities of mass organizations on their websites and support the building of grass-roots organizations, he said.

Li visited social service centers, companies and communities during his visit to Inner Mongolia.

Mass organizations represent people from different lines of work or age groups, such as trade unions, women's groups and youth leagues. Enditem
