Chinese shares close mixed Wednesday

Chinese stocks closed mixed Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.27 percent to end the day at 3,104.44 points.

The smaller Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.16 percent lower at 10,030.11 points. The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, ended 0.42 percent higher to close at 1,822.64 points. Endi
