Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, retreating from levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.70-71 yen compared with 113.10-20 yen in New York and 113.45-46 yen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1094-1095 dollars and 125.03-06 yen against 1.1079-1089 dollars and 125.30-40 yen in New York and 1.1028-1030 dollars and 125.12-16 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Endit
