WASHINGTON -- A small private jet crashed Monday afternoon in a residential area in Carlstadt, New Jersey, leaving two pilots dead and three buildings on fire, including a warehouse, police said.

MOSUL, Iraq -- Iraqi forces battling Islamic State militants liberated on Monday a neighborhood from IS militants after heavy clashes in the northern part of the IS stronghold in the western side of Mosul, the Iraqi military said.
