Eighteen people were killed while four others injured in a road accident early Friday in Burkina Faso, a government release said.
Road traffic accidents claim the lives of at least 13 people and leave hundreds people injured every day in Burkina Faso, according to health authorities. MOGADISHU -- At least three people were killed and another one injured on Friday after a suicide bomber blew himself up in Kismayo town in southern Somalia.
Spokesperson of the Somali Ministry of Internal Security Ahmed Arab told reporters the three killed included two civilians and the suicide bomber, adding that the forces are working together with the African Union peacekeepers to wipe out the militants. (Somalia-Bomb)

DAMASCUS -- At least 12 people were killed and 30 others wounded Friday by a fresh U.S.-led airstrike on the northern province of Raqqa, state TV reported.
The airstrike is the latest in a string of similar strikes that claimed the lives of civilians in the process of targeting positions of the Islamic State (IS) group. The U.S.-led anti-terror coalition has also been backing the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forcesin their push against the IS positions in Deir al-Zour and Raqqa province.(Syria-U.S.-Deaths)

SANAA -- A cholera outbreak in Yemen has killed 51 people in two weeks and caused around 2,752 suspected cases since April 27, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Thursday in a statement on its website.

RIO DE JANEIRO -- At least 259 people have died from yellow fever in Brazil this year, especially in the southeast from the country, the government announced Friday.
The disease is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the same vector as Zika, dengue and chikungunya. On Thursday, the Brazilian government declared the end of the national health emergency for the Zika virus, declared in November 2015.
