German shares gain 0.47 pct Friday

German stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 59.35 points, or 0.47 percent, to close at 12,770.41 points.

German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 4.35 percent. Pharmaceutical company Merck and European health care company Fresenius SE rose by 1.50 percent and 1.28 percent respectively.

Thyssenkrupp lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 4.29 percent. BMW and Adidas went down by 3.20 percent and 1.76 percent respectively.

Deutsche Telekom was the most-traded share with a turnover of 492.18 million euros (535.29 million U.S. dollars). Endit
