The World Economic Forum on ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) kicked off here in Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, for the first time on Thursday, focusing on ASEAN's economic connectivity and ASEAN's youth dividend.
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen opened the two-day forum, which brought together Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank President Jin Liqun and over 700 participants from 40 countries and regions. WELLINGTON -- Around 10,000 New Zealanders in need of warm and safe housing will be provided short-term accommodation at transitional places the government has secured ahead of winter, Social Housing Minister Amy Adams said on Thursday.
"With winter approaching, the demand for warm, safe housing will peak. We are focused on having a significant number of housing places available for those who need it," said Adams. (New Zealand-Housing)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan on Thursday summoned a senior Indian diplomat and lodged protest over "unprovoked ceasefire violation" by the Indian forces that killed a civilian and injured two others, officials said.
