Austrian chancellor hails positive economic cooperation with Romania

Xinhua, May 9, 2017 Adjust font size:

Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern has spoken favourably of positive economic cooperation with Romania, as he hosted his counterpart Sorin Grindeanu in Vienna on Tuesday.

"Austria must have an interest in the development of the region in a positive direction economically, and that the level of prosperity particularly in Romania and Central Europe continues to grow," Kern told a joint press conference with Grindeanu.

Kern said Romania's present economic development excellent, noting that Austrian companies are presently "flourishing" there.

Grindeanu said Austria currently is the second-largest foreign investor in his country, and his country is "presently one of the most profitable in Central Europe," as well as one of the most "economic-friendly," with low fees and charges. Enditem
