Luxury watches worth up to 980,000 USD robbed in broad daylight in Paris

Xinhua, May 9, 2017 Adjust font size:

Two men carried out a robbery in a daylight at a watch retailor in Paris, making off with luxury watches worth between 800,000 euros and 900,000 euros (981,000 U.S. dollars), a local local newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Wearing a grey suit, a face-uncovered man entered the shop at around 11:10 a.m. (0900 GMT) claiming to be a client, news channel BFMTV reported. Armed with a handgun he looted luxury watches before fleeing on motorcycle with his accomplice who awaited him outside the store.

One worker who tried to intervene, was hit with a butt on the head, it added.

A police operation is underway to track the robbers. Endit
