-- According to the German Statistical Office, Germany's companies traded as much abroad as never before. Exports rose by 0.4 percent compared with February, the third month in a row. In March, German exports totalled 118.2 billon euros.

-- On Tuesday, the German Ministry of the Interior confirmed that several former Turkish soldiers received political asylum in Germany. It is the first time that state servant have been receiving asylum in Germany since the coup attempt against Turkish President Recep Erdogan.
