Singapore stocks close 0.4 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 12.99 points, or 0.4 percent, to close at 3,249.97.

A total of 2.22 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.36 billion Singapore dollars (968.07 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 235 to 222.

The STI index gained 7.25 points, or 0.22 percent, to close at 3,236.98 on Monday. Enditem
