Cambodian PM returns home after hospitalized for 5 days in Singapore

Xinhua, May 7, 2017 Adjust font size:

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen returned home on Sunday after having been hospitalized in Singapore with "extreme exhaustion" for five days.

"I have returned to Cambodia with very good health," he wrote on his official Facebook page, along with a pair of pictures showing him sitting on a sofa with his grandchildren at his mansion in Phnom Penh.

The 64-year-old prime minister also expressed thanks to the compatriots for sending him best wishes during his illness.

Hun Sen had fallen ill with "extreme exhaustion" and was admitted to a Singapore hospital on May 3. During his illness, he postponed a gathering with civil servants and armed forces in southwestern Kampong Speu province, and cancelled scheduled meetings with foreign diplomats from France, India and Japan.
