With strong second quarter performance, China defeated Senegal again 65-36 in the second stop of the women's basketball warm-ups in Cangzhou, a city of China's Hebei Province on Friday.

Unlike the 15-0 start in the last game, the host suffered under the defense of their opponents, letting Senegal take the first ever lead in this year's warm ups against China 7-5. Ramata Daou shone in the paint by scoring nine straight points before China took a late lead 17-11.

China extend their lead to 31-15 with eight points contributed by 18-year-old Li Yueru in the second quarter during which Senegal was limited to only four points.

After the interval, China outscored Senegal 13-12 in an intense third quarter. Gao Song hit two free-throws to help her team establish a 20-point advantage before they won the match 65-36.

Rookie Li Yueru led China with 14 points and eight rebounds, Sun Mengran contributed 12 points, Gao Song and Huang Hongpi each added 10 points. Ramata Daou scored game high 17 points for Senegal.

Senegal led in steal 13-7 and was two turnovers less than team China.

"We are not fully prepared after the triumph last match and obviously they are," said China coach Xu Limin. "We are not afraid of making mistakes, all we have to do is to correct them with matches and practices."

China enjoyed a 100-63 victory in the first match hosted in China's central province Henan. The last match will be played in Beijing on Sunday. Endit
