A 30-year-old man was arrested Thursday night at London Heathrow Airport by officers from the Metropolitan Counter Terrorism Command, as he disembarked on a flight from Istanbul, Turkey.

A spokesman at New Scotland Yard, headquarters of the Met said: "The man has been arrested on suspicion for preparing for terrorist acts and terrorist training contrary to section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006. He has been taken to a south London police station where he is detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence." (UK-Terror Suspect)

BUDAPEST -- An international group of human smugglers was indicted in Hungary for homicide and smuggling perpetrated in a criminal organization, in the tragic case of 71 migrants who suffocated in a closed truck on the motorway between Budapest and Vienna in August 2015.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bacs-Kiskun county has indicted 11 people -- Afghans, Bulgarians and Lebanese citizens -- who left a cooling truck filled with 71 people on the side of the motorway in Parndorf, Austria, the prosecutor's office said in a statement. (Hungary-Human Trafficking)

MADRID -- Estimated 30 people were injured, three of them seriously, following a series of explosions on Thursday morning at a recycling plant in Arganda del Rey just to the south of Madrid, rescue services said.

Among the injured, two were reported to have suffered burns on 40 and 30 percent of their bodies, while a third person had broken pelvis in the blasts which left black smoke clearly visible over the city from a distance of over 50 kilometers away. (Spain-Blast)

DAMASCUS -- The Islamic State (IS) group withdrew from the city of Tabqa in northern Syria on Thursday, as the city has become completely under the control of Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a monitor group reported.

The IS started withdrawing from Tabqa in the western countryside of Raqqa Province, after agreeing to a deal struck between local delegations of Tabqa and the SDF. (Syria-IS)

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Republican-controlled House of Representatives on Thursday pushed through a health bill aimed to repeal and replace major parts of Obamacare, by a thin vote of 217-213.
